I also disliked the ugly appearance of radiators and because I had young children I had to cover them up with wooden boxes so they would not scald or burn themselves with direct contact. While this safety aspect worked I also found that the boxed covers also had a negative effect on the overall function of the radiator. It was blocking the high temperatues from escaping and thus channelling it through the mesh gaps in the wood. I found I was having to turn up the heating to maximum so that we could receive the benefits and the after affects of this was much higher heating costs every month. More specifically, the floor was laid out as series of concrete slabs supported by columns of layered tiles, with a furnace at the bottom of one exterior wall. I decided to try underfloor heating in my home because I was disappointed with the performance and overall heating concept I was receiving from common radiators and wall heaters. While these provided adequate heating if they was positioned directly near to you they provided the complete opposite when you found yourself some distance away. This caused hot and cold areas in rooms that was one of the reasons why some of my children picked up common cold and flu symptoms. Radiants low temperature heating and high temperature cooling fit well with the exergy concepts explained by the International Energy Association. There are various options open to you if you are considering the installation of an underfloor heating concept. You can choose either a wet or dry concept and each one has advantages so you can decide which one suits your particular heating requirement more accurately. Ondol continues to be a typical feature of the South Korean home, and is widely credited with making possible distinctively Korean customs such as removing one's shoes upon entering a home and sitting on its floor. Wet underfloor heating system uses heated water that is being pumped from a boiler. This boiler can be fuelled by gas, oil or solid fuel depending your on your own personal choice. The pipes are placed either in screed or directly under the floor. The pipes are flexible multi-layered platic piping that is formulated specifically for the transfer of heated water.

Heating History:

Kudul, literally meaning "fired stone", was covered with yellow earth, and the floor was leveled. In the 17th century, Johann Becher proposed that heat was associated with an undetectable material called phlogiston that was driven out of a substance when it was burnt. In this work, Bernoulli first proposed that gases consist of great numbers of molecules moving in all directions, that their impact on a surface causes the gas pressure that we feel.

High temperatues Actions:

It is a common misconception to confuse fire with internal energy. Fire capacity is an extensive quantity and as such is dependent on the number of molecules in the system. In such a house, a thermostat is a device capable of starting the heating system when the house's interior accidents below a set temperature, and of stopping that same system when another (higher) set temperature has been achieved. Heat is related to the internal energy U of the concept and work W used by the system by the first law of thermodynamics:

Central Heating:

In Sweden there are proposals to phase out direct electric heating for this reason - see oil phase-out in Sweden. A safety valve allows water to escape from the system when pressure is too high, and a valve can be opened to replenish water from the normal water supply if the pressure drops too low. The resultant high temperatues then gets distributed: typically by forced air through ductwork, by water circulating through pipes, or by steam fed through pipes. Electrical heating systems, far less energy-efficient, occur less commonly[citation required].
